Mary Burnham What a tough road she’s had. Kudos to her for her perseverance and for finding a way to create and advocate for positive change, so that others don’t have to go through what she has endured. Brava 👏👏👏
Julia Allen Please tell McKenna how proud I am of her!!! I’m blown away not only of her ability to write and cite her story so well but also organize an action plan for those who would not know what to do or perhaps be ready should they get injured. She’s taken a twice occurred, painful and challenging (and still) situation and redirected that energy into something more powerful, more worthy and beautiful. Bravo girl! 🙌 You must be so proud Brian! To have gone through the entire journey and see what has come of it. I’m sure, more good stuff to come too!
Mary Jane McNamee Thanks so much to McKenna for sharing. I’m going to pass this info on to my daughter’s best friend, who just sustained same injury, same sport. 16 years old 😞. Speedy recovery and healing thoughts for McKenna.
Amy Krahe My sis has this happen senior year in HS. Killed her chances playing in college straight away. Happened indoor, turf field. She did get to walk on senior year in college so there’s that. I managed to play 30+ years with only minimal injuries before retirement. :) good luck healing. Stay strong.

My daughter is also a player and has suffered a couple ACL injuries on turf. She created a site to bring awareness to some of the issues causing the explosion of women soccer players suffering these injuries. I'm helping her get the word out to friends in and around the sport and related industries in the hopes we can help her and other players accelerate the conversation towards real solutions. Her web…
Broke my heart to see the video of your first tear - but loved watching all the play videos - so nice to see my talented niece in action! Kisses to you and your Mom and Dad.
